AI Policy – Poland

The following description of AI policy in Poland provides a snapshot summary of some previous and ongoing initiatives throughout the country. It is regularly updated as feasible, but it is not intended to be comprehensive.

As of February 2020, there is also extensive information, data, and graphics about Polish AI policy available at the OECD AI Policy Observatory.

Poland signed the EU Declaration of cooperation on Artificial Intelligence in April 2018. Poland has since established several initiatives related to data and AI. For example, the Polish Ministry of Digitization and the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology launched the Artificial Intelligence Development Policy in Poland for 2019–2027. While It is not a national strategy, it is intended to be a pathway towards that. The policy focuses on (1) ecosystem framework, (2) organisation and management, and (3) data, knowledge and competences, financing and infrastructure.
