
Wes McEnany
Wes McEnany serves as Labor Outreach and Coalition Builder at the Future of Life Institute, where he builds partnerships between labor organizations, professional associations, and advocacy groups around AI safety, governance and job displacement.
Before joining FLI, Wes served as Deputy Labor Policy Director for the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, where he worked on risks of AI job displacement, labor law reform and workforce development policy.
Wes brings fifteen years of experience managing large-scale campaigns, including Massachusetts Not For Sale – ballot coalition effort and launching the Communication Workers of America’s technology organizing campaign that helped establish the Alphabet Workers Union at Google. Prior he spent over a decade at SEIU organizing healthcare workers and founding the Fight For $15 campaign that led to wage increases for millions of workers.
Wes holds a Master in Public Administration from Cornell University and a BA from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. He is based in Washington, DC.
