
Oliver Ritchie
Oliver is FLI’s UK Policy lead, working on how the UK can flourish in an AI age, while also contributing to global flourishing. He is an expert on UK AI regulation, and on the impacts of advanced AI on labour markets and government finances. He has previously worked on UK AI policy at both GovAI and IAPS. His background is in the UK Civil Service, where he led the HM Treasury team advising the Chancellor on the latest economic and scientific Covid-19 developments, while also coordinating the Treasury’s Covid strategy development.
Oliver graduated top of his class from his Masters degree in Political Economy at King’s college London, and has a First Class undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Exeter.
