
David Atkinson
David Atkinson is the Litigation strategist on FLI’s US Policy team. His research focuses on how to use the law to give policymakers and democracy more time and opportunities to develop effective pro-human AI regulations. Previously, David was a postdoctoral fellow at Georgetown University, an Edison fellow at the Intellectual Property and Policy Institute, in-house counsel at the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence, and a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He holds a JD from Georgetown Law, an MEd from Harvard Graduate School of Education, an MS from Kansas State University, and a BS from Truman State University.
