Why do you care about AI Existential Safety?

I am passionate about trying to ensure that the development and deployment of AI technologies are safe and ethical.

I have attended multiple FLI workshops on AI safety (Puerto Rico, Asilomar), organized multiple related workshops, and co-authored many paper in the field of trustworthy machine learning (see a more detailed bio here).
