CalMatters + The Markup will publish investigative projects exploring who controls AI development and its effects. They will create datasets that map patterns of influence and control in AI development and expand their Digital Democracy tools to track campaign contributions and lobbying efforts from AI companies to show how these organizations shape legislation.
