Oskar Galeev is a doctoral candidate at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies and a Frontier AI Governance Researcher at Concordia AI. His dissertation traces how ideas about AI risk have evolved and what this intellectual genealogy means for US-China cooperation on AI governance. He has held fellowships at the Alperovitch Institute for Cybersecurity Studies, Cambridge ERA, and the Centre for the Governance of AI. Oskar earned his undergraduate degree from Leiden University and was a Yenching Scholar at Peking University.
